Paws and Hooves Care Services was created to provide dependendable, knowledgeable care for pets and horses, while you are away for business or personal travels. I understand the importance of leaving your beloved pet or horse with someone you trust and who is responsible and professional.
My approach to the care of your pet or horse is a calm, routine-based care service that focuses on the individal needs of each animal in my care. The main priority is the comfort, safety and well-being of the pet or horse.

Service and Cancellation Policies
7. Home & Property Access
Clients must provide:
• Secure access instructions
• Alarm codes (if applicable)
• Clear directions to supplies and equipment
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the home, barn, and property are safe and secure.
8. Weather & Seasonal Conditions
As an Ontario-based service provider, we take weather conditions seriously.
During extreme weather (heat, cold, storms), care routines may be adjusted to prioritize animal safety and well-being.
For equine and farm clients, turnout and barn checks will always be performed with safety in mind.
9. Communication
Clients will receive updates as agreed upon at booking.
We encourage open communication before, during, and after services.
10. Right to Refuse Service
Paws and Hooves Care Services reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if:
• Conditions are unsafe
• Aggressive behavior is observed
• Policies are not respected
This ensures the safety of animals, clients, and caregivers.

Paws and Hooves Care Services
At Paws and Hooves Care Services, our goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care for animals big and small. The following policies are designed to ensure safety, clarity, and professionalism for both our clients and the animals in our care.
1. Meet & Greet Requirement
All new clients must complete a complimentary Meet & Greet prior to booking services.
This visit allows us to:
Learn your pet or horse’s routine and temperament
Review feeding, turnout, and medication instructions
Confirm home and barn access procedures
Ensure we are a good fit for your needs
Services cannot begin without a completed intake form and Meet & Greet.
2. Booking & Payment
• Bookings are confirmed once approved and scheduled.
• Payment terms will be outlined at time of booking.
• Extended holiday periods may require advance payment.
• Additional fees may apply for last-minute bookings.
3. Cancellations
We understand plans change.
• Cancellations must be made with adequate notice.
• Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
• Holiday bookings may have a separate cancellation policy.
Specific timelines will be provided at time of booking.
4. Emergency Veterinary Care
In the event of a medical emergency:
• Every effort will be made to contact the owner immediately.
• If the owner cannot be reached, Paws and Hooves Care Services is authorized to seek veterinary care on the owner’s behalf.
• All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the owner.
Client authorization is required in the intake form.
5. Safety & Behavior Policy
For the safety of everyone involved:
• Pets must not have a history of unreported aggression.
• Horses must be safe to handle under normal barn conditions.
• Any behavioral concerns must be disclosed during the intake process.
Services may be discontinued if an animal poses a safety risk.
6. Vaccinations & Health
Clients are responsible for ensuring pets and horses are:
• Up to date on recommended vaccinations
• Free from contagious illnesses
• Receiving regular veterinary care
Any known medical conditions must be disclosed prior to service.
Payment Policy
Paws and Hooves Care Services
At Paws and Hooves Care Services, we aim to keep our payment process simple, transparent, and fair for all clients.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept:
Cash
E-transfer
Debit/Credit (if applicable)
Payment instructions will be provided at the time of booking.
Payment Due Dates
Pet Sitting & Farm Care Services
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your dates.
The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the first scheduled service.
Drop-In Visits & Walks
Full payment is due 24 hours before the scheduled service.
Recurring Weekly Services
Payment is due at the beginning of each week of scheduled services.
Late Payments
Services may be paused or canceled if payment is not received by the due date.
A late fee may apply for unpaid balances beyond 48 hours.
Emergency or Last-Minute Bookings
Full payment is required immediately upon booking confirmation.
Refunds
Refunds are handled according to our Cancellation Policy. Deposits may be non-refundable depending on cancellation timing.
